EL PLAN SUR
Illustration created for the exhibition “La transformación de Valencia 1866–2026”, organized by Las Provincias for its 160th anniversary and held at the Centro Cultural El Carmen between December 2025 and February 2026. On the occasion of the exhibition, special editions of the newspaper and a commemorative magazine were also published, bringing together the participating artworks.
The illustration is inspired by the postage stamps through which citizens helped finance the South Plan after the 1957 flood. Conceived as a large stamp, the piece combines historical stamps, documentary photographs, and a map of Valencia to show the transformation of the Turia River and to pay tribute to the collective effort that helped build a safer future for the city.

Ilustración realizada para la exposición “La transformación de Valencia 1866–2026”, organizada por Las Provincias con motivo de su 160 aniversario y celebrada en el Centro Cultural El Carmen entre diciembre de 2025 y febrero de 2026. Con motivo de la muestra también se publicaron ediciones especiales del periódico y una revista conmemorativa que reunía las obras participantes.
La obra se inspira en los sellos postales con los que la ciudadanía ayudó a financiar el Plan Sur tras la riada de 1957. Concebida como una gran estampilla, la ilustración combina sellos históricos, fotografías y un mapa de Valencia para mostrar la transformación del Río Turia y rendir homenaje al esfuerzo colectivo que permitió construir un futuro más seguro para la ciudad.
